tip 1Protect yourself against osteoporosis

• Get your daily dose of Vitamin D and calcium.
• Ask your doctor if you need a bone density test.
• Do strength-building exercises.
• Take precautions in your home to prevent falls.

Discuss osteoporosis and bone density testing with your medical care provider.  If you do not have a medical care provider or insurance, call 311 to find out about free or low cost services.
